It is said that inspiration comes from the strangest places. This entire site comes by way of a comment I made on the Cane Talk message board while discussing the potential for a system in the Atlantic to develop into a named storm and possibly make landfall.
At that moment, without much thought, I posted that the Cantore Effect was still a mystery. Meaning that since The Weather Channel had not yet dispatched Mr. Cantore, the verdict was still out on where this system was heading.
Yes, I realize that Jim Cantore is not a storm magnet. Yes, I realize he has been called a storm magnet by better people than me.
